What is preaching? Who does it? What are you supposed to say? This week, Luther House of Study’s Director of Lutheran Theology, Dr. Steven Paulson, joins the podcast to talk about the sermon Jesus gives his preachers before sending them out to preach. You’ll hear Adam, Kiri, and Mason ask questions like:-How is being a preacher the highest office in the world?-What is a preachers’ role? -What does it mean to "welcome" a preacher?Support the Show.Interested in sponsoring an episode of Scripture First? Come To Me, All You That Are Weary | Matthew 11:16-19 & 25-30 with Dr. Chris Croghan

Three millennials sit down with Lutheran theologians to understand how Scripture is working in our lives. God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, sin, faith, forgiveness, Luther, and more are on the table as Mason Van Essen, Kiri Haugen, and Adam Guthmiller discuss each week's upcoming lectionary Bible passage with Luther House of Study's theologians to hear the context in and around Scripture before it's preached in church.
