LIBOR, the London Interbank Offered Rate, a key set of interest rates linked to hundreds of trillions of dollars of financial contracts and instruments in on its way out. The British Financial Conduct Authority, or FCA, which oversees LIBOR announced that it may be phased out after December 31, 2021, when they will no longer require the banks to provide LIBOR offers.
