Dr. Francine Kaufman discusses diabetes prevention and treatment. Dr. Kaufman is currrently leading two NIH diabetes investigations, both focusing on preventing and treating type 2 diabetes in children and teenagers. She discusses how people can modify their lifestyles and make a real shift to healthy behaviors. Dr. Kaufman is Head of the Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at Children�s Hospital in Los Angeles. She has been funded by the National Institutes of Health since 1980, and is the current Chair of the National Diabetes Education Program.
