The Sanyu Sisters are Back! Join us for our very first episode of Series 2 as we chat to the inspiring Lenka Benova; Professor of Maternal Health at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) Antwerp. From business management to project coordination for Médecins Sans Frontières in Nigeria, Palestine and South Sudan, Lenka saw first hand the impact that socioeconomic inequity has on health. Motivated to learn more, she holds 2 Masters degrees in Middle East Studies and Demography as well as a PhD in Population Studies from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine. She is passionate about maternal and newborn care and in particular understanding postnatal care provision in health facilities.Hear how Lenka has forged her journey in international maternal and newborn health.
