The term Aksara Nusantara can also be used to summarize the characters used and developed in the Philippine Islands. Almost all regional scripts in the Philippines are derived from the Kawi Script (Old Javanese Script). These characters include the Baybayin script, the Tagbanwa script, the Buhid script, the Hanunó'o script, and the Kapampangan script. Meanwhile, the Eskaya script is the result of the original culture of the Philippines
