Rehoboam had both the best and worst start of any king. He had the benefit of learning from David (grandfather) and Solomon (father) and inherited the kingdom at its height. He was also surrounded by leaders willing to advise him at every step. But early in his career, Rehoboam opted to listen to the wrong crowd of people.
