To celebrate Africa Month, we are honoring the continent's rich heritage of indigenous languages. Africa is home to more than 2,000 indigenous languages—representing one-third of the world’s linguistic diversity. Yet UNESCO warns that over 300 of these languages now face critical endangerment, risking the loss of irreplaceable cultural knowledge.
