In this episode I am joined by Ben Dijkstra, an international triathlete who is studying Sport Technology part time at Loughborough University.

Ben started off as a competitive runner before he transitioned to triathlon. He is a multiple English Schools cross country and track champion and has represented the Great Britain team at the European Cross Country Championships twice.

At the age of 15, Ben won double gold for Team GB at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games in triathlon and in this episode he talks about how the individual race came down to a close photo finish! Since then, he has won multiple International Triathlon Union World Series Podiums and in 2019 he won gold in both the Mixed U23 Relay at the Grand Final in Lausanne and the U23 Men's race at the ETU in Valencia.

Listen to Ben discuss his love for the sport, his journey so far and how he balances his time between studying, training and developing a positive mental attitude.
