<p>What does it mean to be human? Technological developments challenge the identity of human beings all the time with this question. In 2024, Megan Fenrich, Valentina Graziuso and Daniele Meregalli, three Italian graduate students from ROMS are organizing the Carolina Conference for Romance Studies, CCRS, where they invite you to share your ideas on being- human in the Romance World under the general theme of <em>Esse Humani: The (Non)Human Question</em>.</p>

ROMS podcasts is a non-fiction audio project of the Department of Romance Studies of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was created as a space to host and share the stories and experiences that define our academic community. We aim to open the microphones for all the diverse, interesting, and enriching voices that are part of our department. Everyone is welcome to participate, and we hope to offer our community a deeper and more intimate look at all the wonderful things that happen inside ROMS. Welcome!
