4th Season is the Best One Yet!
The characters really develop over time, and the adventure feels unique and exciting. Really funny players too, the jokes are either genuinely hilarious or so ironically dumb that they’re funny. Certainly a bit slower in the first few episodes, but 100% worth sticking with it for the long term. Highly recommend!

A Most Excellent Podcast
The first episode had me on the fence and it took me a while to get back to it and get through the next three or so. I try to listen to a few episodes to judge whether or not I will continue. By the fourth or fifth episode, I was hooked. I really enjoy that it is easy to tell that all of you are friends and have been playing for some time together. The DM's (Mark's) voice acting is enjoyable, especially the old-timey intro and outro. I also enjoy Christine's commitment to voice acting. Erik's voice acting is sufficiently terrible enough to emulate most of my friends' (and my) attempts at a Scots accent so is very relatable. Brian's commitment to character is something I strive to emulate myself. And Cliff's portrayal as someone needing tutelage is spot on.
I found the party origin to be an original spin that helps relieve everyone of asking why they stick together.
The editing and sound work also make Role Radio a good listen.
My only issue, small though it is, is that Brian's and Cliff's regular voices sound somewhat the same to me and I sometimes lose track of who is talking out of character. But of course that's soon solved by continuing to listen... and I will.

One of the BEST Actual Play D&D podcast!
I listen to a lot of TTRPG podcasts. I also play and DM a lot of D&D. I enjoying getting ideas about how to improve my game at home by listening to others play. I also just enjoy listening to others play. This podcast does a terrific job of scratching both those itches.
First, the DM does a wonderful job with the material. I’m familiar with Scourge of the Sword Coast having run it, and he has found a way to put so much more life into the source material than ever occurred to me. It’s inspiring to listen to.
Second, the players are clearly enjoying themselves. They enjoy the game and each other. They screw around a bit, but they also stay focused on the game and don’t get side-tracked - which while fun in real life at the table, can be distracting and annoying as a non-participating audience member. These folks don’t do that, and it’s fun to listen to them play.
Finally, this is an edited actual play podcast, and the DM (who I believe is mostly responsible for editing the show) finds a nice balance of story-telling and allowing listeners to get an idea of the decision making by the players.
This is up there with the best of the genre. 5/5.

If you ever wondered if you’d like D&D...
Highly recommend this podcast! So fun to live vicariously through this ragtag group of adventurers. Haven’t played D&D myself, but always thought I might like it. Who knows? Might just need to strike up a quest of my own!

Perfect for my first time!
As someone who rarely finds a reason to listen to podcasts, this one had me hooked after the very first episode. The players are having so much fun and the DM’s dry-like-a-desert style of humor often has me headed to the ER for sedatives. This is the best thing in my life and I need it to continue.

Such entertaining storytelling!
I love the old-timey radio show feeling this podcast has. Even though I don’t play D&D, a friend showed me this and have been listening on my own since. So much fun! And the pacing is great, never a dull moment. I might even end up playing the game now!

Excellent!
A certain level of quality and dedication is immediately shown in the first 5 minutes! I’m not a Dungeons and Dragons expert, and barely know anything about it. This podcast makes it so that you don’t have to know anything to have an enjoyable listening experience. Insta subbed fan 4 life, can’t wait for the next one!
