I absolutely love the Joseph Papers podcasts. They are inspirational, well made, informative, and academically rigorous.

The Joseph Smith Papers is an absolute treasure. These podcasts are wonderful. A few days ago I drove to work with tears in my eyes grieving the loss of these two servants of the Lord. No, they were not perfect. None of us are. The evil to take one’s disagreement to murder is frightening. Unfortunately we still see such acts today in our land of liberty and supposed tolerance.

I have read several of Spencer’s books and enjoy the info and perspective. Great historical research and documentation. Not a “I think” show. But a “here are the facts” show. Very very good.

Concise and complete historical account of the martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith; both playing a key role in bring the gospel of Christ back to earth in its fullness.

I’m happy how it depicts every move of those involved that were against Joseph Smith and the saints.. With the media at that time provoking the people to hate the saints for no reason is no different from newspapers today.

It’s not common to learn something completely new from podcasts regarding Church history, but The Road to Carthage is a grand exception. Well done and please keep them coming!
