Legally, marriage is often classified as a "contract" but spiritually it's so much more than that! Marriage is a Covenant Agreement that binds those entering in to it to something older than the institution of marriage itself. Love that seeks another's highest good is the greatest distinguishing factor between marriage just being a legally binding contract or being a spiritually binding covenant agreement.
