Katherine Sokolowski is in her 20th year in education – 2 in the Chicago suburbs, 2 in a nearby small town, and 16 in her Illinois hometown where she grew up and where she lives now.  She has taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, PE and Music to Kindergarten, and taught 10 years in fourth grade and 6 years in fifth.

She is a blogger, a writer for Choice Literacy–she also runs their Twitter account–and she helps run Nerdy Book Club with Donalyn Miller, Colby Sharp, and Cindy Minnich.

You can learn from Katherine as she talks with host Kevin Carlson about the role of stories in her teaching, the power of writing with her students, and the importance of her web-based network.
