On the podcast today you will be hearing about the amazing research being undertaken at Deakin University from Lecturer, Learning Futures Danni McCarthy and Senior Manager, Programs and Partnerships, Peter Oslewski.
The division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Deakin has created a series of immersive learning experiences, collectively referred to as ‘A Day in the life’, these vignettes aim to put people in the shoes of their fellow students/staff and give visibility and understanding to the varied experiences of people in the Deakin Community and how they experience discrimination, sexual harassment, barriers to inclusion and victimisation.
Research has been conducted into the possibility of using this new technology to create a culture of belonging across a tertiary organisation such as Deakin University.
