Happy Year of the Ox! Join Miki and Danni in the Lunar New Year festivities as the two friends celebrate the traditions and stories of the new year. But we cannot celebrate this holiday without addressing the rising hate crimes in America against Asians. Against the backdrop of increasing violence against the Asian community in the U.S. and around the world since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Danni and Miki explores what it means to be Chinese in America, the dangers of the model minority myth, and ways we can all be allies against racism.

Include Asians in your Anti-racism work. Speak out against the model minority myth. See Asians as POC who deal with microaggressions and discrimination on a daily basis. Be an ally. Share our stories. Acknowledge us and see us. Our pain is valid too.
