, where Jesus declares 'My sheep hear my voice,' we're reminded that hearing God isn't a special gift reserved for a select few—it's the natural state of every believer. The key insight here is profound: God's voice is primarily found in God's Word. When we read Scripture, we're not just gathering information; we're becoming familiar with the character, ways, and voice of our Shepherd. Just as we recognize the voices of people we spend time with, the more we immerse ourselves in Scripture, the more we recognize that still, small voice guiding us through daily decisions. The message challenges us to reconsider those internal promptings we experience—the conviction to forgive when we want to hold a grudge, the peace or unease about a decision, the gentle correction when our thoughts go astray. These aren't random feelings; they're often God speaking through His Word that's taken root in our hearts. The story of Elijah on Mount Horeb beautifully illustrates this: after the spectacular displays of wind, earthquake, and fire, God revealed Himself in a still, small voice. In our noisy world filled with constant notifications and information overload, we must intentionally quiet ourselves to recognize that God is already speaking. The question isn't whether God is speaking—it's whether we're becoming sensitive enough to recognize His voice and, more importantly, whether we're willing to follow where He leads.
