Sad: Some perfectly manicure their social media feeds to portray themselves as something they’re not.
More sad: Some of us actually buy into it, and compare ourselves/our lives to fake, filtered posts. We compare our real, ordinary days to filtered versions of the best moments of their lives.
Social media isn't good, and it's bad...it's powerful. It can breed discontent. Why isn’t my life as exciting? Why do I not look that good? It can bring anxiety. How can I measure up. Contentment is knowing the truth about what matters, and what doesn’t.
