We are excited to see God – burning bush, worship, Word and Sacrament. We are excited to be His people. But what we are not, is excited to do His work. We protest, “Who am I? I couldn’t possibly do what is being asked. I am afraid, I’m too busy, I’m not qualified. And we know there is a stack, a stockpile, a slew of other protests we lodge in complaint against God’s calling to us. What Do We Learn About God and About Ourselves When We Start Asking, “Who Am I?”
