Seriously: Knowing all this stuff gives important context to literally all of the United States' history.

This is some of the worst of aspects of United States history. Although we never get gory or graphic it might be wisest for younger listeners to have an adult around to answer questions.

I mean, that's always best with us, but more so than usual today.

This is for white Americans talking about some of the worst times in United States history for Black people.

This was intentional, and out of respect.

It shouldn't be the burden of our Black friends & family to bear all that historical trauma.

But that may mean we misunderstand a cultural connection or don't give enough gravity to aspects.
