OUTLINE OF OUR DISCUSSION
INTRO: We all need to read more. We need to not feel guilty for making this a part of our practice.
Reading is important and valuable for the Christian.
-Reading trains our minds.
-Reading helps us understand the ideas in the culture we live in.
We need to be disciplined in our reading.
-It doesn’t seem like a ‘good use of our time’
-We need to build it into our routine, and into the DNA of our families.
-We need to set aside other things in order to make time to read.
The church can foster a culture of reading.
-What books are in our church libraries and book tables?
-Do we talk about literature from the pulpit, when we gather for Bible study, and when we get together casually?
