to 5, the Apostle Paul shares an encouraging message about the purpose and hope found in the Scriptures. He says, "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had."

These verses remind us of the timeless relevance of the Scriptures. They were not only written for the people of the past but also for us today. The teachings and stories in the Bible serve as valuable lessons that can instruct, inspire, and guide us in our journey of faith.
Paul highlights two key elements that the Scriptures provide: endurance and encouragement. Through the endurance taught in the Scriptures, we learn how to persevere in the face of challenges and difficulties. And through the encouragement they provide, we find comfort, hope, and motivation to keep pressing forward.
Paul then prays that God, who is the source of endurance and encouragement, would grant us the same attitude of mind that Christ Jesus had toward one another. This reflects the call to unity, humility, and love within the body of Christ.
May the endurance taught in the Scriptures empower us to overcome obstacles and remain steadfast in our commitment to follow Christ. May the encouragement found in the Scriptures bring hope and strength to our weary souls.
And as we engage with one another, may we embody the same attitude of mind that Christ Jesus had—compassionate, selfless, and loving. Amen!
