In extracts from the first four chapters, of The Railway Children by E Nesbit, we learn how the three children Roberta, Peter & Phyllis suddenly have to leave their home and move to the country, their discovery of the railway and it’s people and how it soon becomes the centre of their lives.

The Railway Children Part 2

Stories are a fundamental part of life aren’t they? From the beginning stories were told & retold, passed down from generation to generation. I’m no good at making up stories but I love to read them and especially enjoy re reading my favourites! Reading aloud, sharing a story with others, that’s what this podcast is about, whether you snuggle up in a cosy place or tune in whilst walking the dog or travelling. I hope you enjoy listening, perhaps you’ll rediscover some old favourites or be introduced to something new.
