Show notes
Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s. This week, we’ll be celebrating just one birthday, that of Edgar Sampson. But that certainly doesn’t mean we don’t have a whole show full of great music. The rest of this week’s segment topics flow out of last week’s show or the one before. Well, except for the one about the vocabulary word. We’ll have several musical answers to the question “What is love?”, we’ll get some reminders and we’re going to play the blame game. If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email to [email protected]. And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.Enjoy the show!Rapidly Rotating Records Show4 November, 2018Here’s the complete playlist:Segment 1: What is Love?Love Is Just A Flower – The Benson Orchestra of ChicagoLove Is Love Anywhere – Freddie Rich AHO / Vera Van, v.Love Is Just A Gamble – Bar Harbor Society OrchestraLove Is Just A Dream – Gus Arnheim AHO / Bud Struck, v.Segment 2: GambolHop, Skip And Jump – Rudy Wiedoeft’s CaliforniansSkip Along – Arthur Lange AHOHop Skip – Frank Ellis and His St. Francis Hotel Orchestra / Unidentified Vocal TrioSegment 3: RemindersSpringtime Reminds Me Of You – Maurice Winnick and His Sweet Music / Al Bowlly, v.The Moonlight Reminds Me Of You – Regent Club Orchestra / Frank Munn, v.These Foolish Things – Putney DandridgeSegment 4: The Blame GameDon’t Blame Me – Rudy Vallee and His Connecticut Yankees / Rudy Vallee, v.Blame It On The Blues – Victor Military BandYou Can’t Blame Me For That – Vernon DalhartSegment 5: Edgar SampsonWhen Dreams Come True – Chick WebbBlue Lou – Fletcher Henderson AHOStompin’ At The Savoy – Willie Lewis and His EntertainersTHANKS FOR LISTENING!RRR is also available as a podcast on iTunes.
