<p>Wriply Marie Bennet is the truth. From her artwork to
activism, Wriply centers the experiences of queer folx of color. Coming up on
the anniversary of what became known as Black Pride 4, Wriply talks about the
action and the aftermath. What started as a peaceful disruption to call
attention to violence against trans folx and police violence, became violent
when the police physically assaulted peaceful protesters while parade goers
cheered and spit. </p>

My Mother’s Experiences as a Black Woman

Dr. Kira Banks, is a psychologist, professor, coach, consultant, author, wife and mother. She has been helping individuals and groups understand themselves, others and systems of oppression for over 25 years. She works across corporations, Hollywood, Broadway, non-profits, K-12 schools, colleges, and community organizations. Dr. Banks is known for making complex and controversial topics accessible and intergroup interactions understandable.
