Show notes
This week on Radio Architecture Ilana's guest in DANIEL WOLKENBERG.Daniel founded Poly Studio in 2012 after gaining experience working in a variety of architectural practices including Studio Libeskind in Berlin and as an Associate at Lab Architecture. Having working on a wide range of projects from small exhibitions to large urban master plans his aspiration for Poly Studio was to work on smaller, local projects which embed best-practice in sustainability into contemporary design for both new builds and adaptive re-use of existing buildings. To this end, he has developed expertise in Passivhaus and high-performing construction practices that result in energy efficient, comfortable and healthy buildings.Daniel is driven by the capacity of architecture to structure the relationships between ‘things’ – buildings, materials, spaces, functions, interior and exterior. Key architectural interests include housing, educational and cultural facilities, public space and strategic master planning. He has taught design studios at RMIT and Melbourne University.
