As we were researching the difference between sexual and romantic attraction, we stumbled upon “squish” and “zucchini” as terms of endearment for queerplatonic relationships. Our favorite quote that we resonated with from our very limited research was “language will never suffice to describe the human experience because it's much too vast, but the more words we have to choose from, the more likely we are to find something that fits."
