Welcome to the very first episode of Putting the Bible Together. This podcast is dedicated to conversations that explore the beauty and power of the biblical story. In this episode, Mark Catlin, the host of Putting the Bible Together, welcomes Joshua McNall to discuss his book Long Story Short: The Bible in Six Simple Movements.
Josh is Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Josh also serves local churches by preaching regularly around the country and serving as the Ambassador of Church Relations for OKWU. He blogs regularly at www.joshuamcnall.com and hosts the Outpost Theology podcast. Josh and his wife Brianna have four children.
In Long Story Short, Josh traces the storyline of Scripture through creation, fall, Israel, Jesus, the Church, and new creation, and he does it in a fun and winsome way. In the podcast we discuss a bit about each chapter of the story, how Josh discovered the metanarrative revealed by Scripture, the power of the story to change our everyday lives, and the part of the story that is most meaningful to him. I hope our conversation about the beauty and power of the biblical story encourages you and helps you put the Bible together.
