It is indefinable, yet undeniably recognizable. It is the outward presentation which shows the inward desires of a woman. As a false woman generally represents the false church in scripture, we see that the false church has also a indefinable yet recognizable appearance.A harlot's attire advertises the flesh. Flesh is after all where her power is. She shows more flesh by showing less clothing. The harlot church likewise shows more of the flesh by showing less of the covering of righteousness.A harlot's attire attracts attention to herself. So too does the harlot church attract attention to herself instead of Christ. Her actions are designed to catch the eye rather than the heart.A harlot's attire attracts adulterers. Spiritual adultery is 'cheating' on the bridegroom - Christ. Loving God and the world is spiritual adultery. A harlot gives a promise of an illicit relationship. So does a harlot church, promising that those who come into her can have this world and heaven, too. As with all harlots, they lie.A harlot's attire angers the almighty.
