Hey y'all hope you had a great Labor Day weekend, I'm a little late for this Deep Dive but man we are going real deep this time, here is a full audo rendition of Michael Harner's classic canonical book on shamanism "The Way of The Shaman". This book was -for millions of young psychonauts-our first serious introduction to shamanism (after the fantasy books of Carlos Casteneda) and it still stands up today.

From Wikipedia: Michael James Harner (April 27, 1929 – February 3, 2018) was an anthropologist, educator and author. His 1980 book, The Way of the Shaman: a Guide to Power and Healing,[1] has been foundational in the development and popularization of Core Shamanism as a path of personal development for adherents of neoshamanism.[2] He also founded the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

From Amazon: This classic on shamanism pioneered the modern shamanic renaissance. It is the foremost resource and reference on shamanism. Now, with a new introduction and a guide to current resources, anthropologist Michael Harner provides the definitive handbook on practical shamanism – what it is, where it came from, how you can participate.

"Wonderful, fascinating… Harner really knows what he's talking about."
CARLOS CASTANEDA

"An intimate and practical guide to the art of shamanic healing and the technology of the sacred. Michael Harner is not just an anthropologist who has studied shamanism; he is an authentic white shaman."
STANILAV GROF, author of 'The Adventure Of Self Discovery'

"Harner has impeccable credentials, both as an academic and as a practising shaman. Without doubt (since the recent death of Mircea Eliade) the world's leading authority on shamanism."
NEVILL DRURY, author of 'The Elements of Shamanism'
