① I’ve been meaning to ask you ... / I wanted to ask you a question about ...

② I’m curious about ...What ...? / ..., but I’m curious about ...?

③ ... The reason I’m asking is ... / ... I’m asking because...

④ I don’t mean to be rude, but I was wondering about ... / I hope you don’t mind me asking, but I’m curious about ...

You can ask any questions you want, but it must be done appropriately.
