March is designated as Women's History Month, with the 8th March being the UN International Women's Day, to celebrate this occasion, Wigan Athletic have nominated our home game with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday the 5th March as 'Women's Day' down at the DW Stadium.
This episode of the Progress With Unity Podcast is also dedicated to Women's Day and I am pleased to say that I am joined in the studio by three prominent Wigan Women:
AFC Wigan Ladies Manager & Coach, Megan Walker
Wigan Constituency MP, Lisa Nandy
Chair of Wigan Athletic Supporters Club, Caroline Molyneux
The podcast is a great listen with some lovely stories told by the three contributors with the agenda set around:
- Inspirations
- Personal Football Story
- Female Friendly Atmosphere
- Vision & Hopes For The Future
I hope you enjoy the podcast and share in the memories all three provide of their individual journey with our club, the fun, the challenges and hopes for a bright future.
Up the tics!
