Multiple part series asks the question: Is the Internet the New Paris for Black content creators? The City of Lights became known as a beacon of freedom and tolerance for many African Americans. Paris is rich in Black History--especially for Black Americans who have flocked there since the 19th century, from Josephine Baker to James Baldwin, a safe haven for the artist, the musician, the writer, and the voices of the Black consciousness/free-thinker, I could be speaking about the countless social media platforms, SoundCloud, YouTube, Spotify, Only Fans, Black Twitter and so many others. What does it mean to be free to give to our community the voices, sounds and content that caters to us; feeds our desires and wants without censorship or permission from the mainstream.
