Deanna is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist who has been working in the mental health field treating individuals, families, and adolescents for over 25 years in all levels of care. She has worked extensively with teenage and adult clients with addictions, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, family and couples work, co-parenting, and behavioral management skill building. She has also worked with individuals experiencing grief, loss, and terminal illness while working in Hospice for two years. She is trained in EMDR therapy, a specialized treatment modality used to treat trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy and Family Systems Approach. Deanna and The Gals Institute team offer several workshops and prevention programs developed by Deanna, a personal passion project to help families and kids six years and up develop confidence, self-esteem and much needed resiliency, using research-based modalities to help support the whole family system. Deanna promotes prevention and healing in her work with clients and in her presentations. Deanna is an active parent in the Oconomowoc community. She was the Oconomowoc Public Education Foundation (OPEF)board member and past president 2013-2016, Awarded the 2017 Oconomowoc Chamber Woman in Business and a proud member of the Oconomowoc and Delafield Chamber of commerce. Deanna is sought out to present in community forums on issues such as adolescent development, anxiety issues, resiliency building, parenting, and treatment of addictions.
