Strip off every weight that slows you down, especially the sin that so easily trips you up. And run with endurance the race God has set before you. You do this by keeping your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects your faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated at the Right Hand of God’s throne. (2 Corinthians 5:21)Yes, that you possessing that genuine righteousness which comes through faith in Christ, you are truly right standing with God, which comes from God by saving faith. (Philippians 3:9) That further you may know Christ and the mighty power of His resurrection that raised Him from the dead, For God’s determined purpose for you is that you may know Christ, may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly, and that you may in that same way come to know the mighty power outflowing from His resurrection which it exerts over you as a believer.
