In this weeks episode we caught up with Krystal Hewitt from Speaking of Wildlife! Speaking of Wildlife is a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary that is currently taking care of a special wolf named Maverick. Maverick was actually donated as a pup from our facility just a few years ago. We caught up with Krystal to see how 'Mav' has been doing and along the way we explore the differences between socialized and unsocialized wolves. Marena Wigmore and Aidan Doak work at the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre in Northern Ontario. While working at this educational facility, they have the pleasure of observing a pack of Western timber wolves each day. These unsocialized wolves have essentially maintained their natural behaviour and provide people with the opportunity to see how wolves would behave in the wild.
