People are “too busy to be bothered” This foreshadows (Mt 25:40 “What you did for the least of these, you did for me”) Why does Rebekah do this?26 Then the man bowed down and worshiped [God for helping him fulfill his mission.]How does the servant’s respect, earnestness and selflessness toward God, Abraham and Isaac increase his abundance? Self esteem?22 When the camels had finished drinking, the man took out several gold tokens. 23 Then he asked, “Who is your father and is there room in his house for us to spend the night?” 24 She answered I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Nahor, [and yes, there is room]and the story continues...PrinciplesPrudence: Not just anyone. Letting Rebekah go sooner than they wanted.Earnestness: Fulfilling his promise to Abraham to the best of his abilities.
