John Pollock goes through the History of the Royal Rumble from pre-1988 through 2025, from a failed house show concept to a major cable program, and being added as its annual January show.

Pollock chats about the origins of the match, the pivotal role it played in 1988 against Jim Crockett Promotions, becoming an annual pay-per-view in 1989, its growth as a draw on the WWE’s calendar, the highs & lows along the way, and the chronology through last year’s show in Indianapolis.
