In this episode we turn our attention to the concept of double consciousness as coined by W.E.B. Dubois in describing the experience of being black in America. We wanted to explore this phenomenon in the contemporary Canadian context and more specifically in the context of identifying both as black and a woman. Joining the discussion is Desmond Cole, an award-winning journalist, radio host, and a leading Black activist and critic of systemic racial injustice.
