In today’s study, we look at how Jesus described John as a witness, and as a light. He went on to explain that the Father bears witness of Him, as does the scriptures. Jesus told these religious hypocrites that they needed to search the scriptures, for they only thought they had eternal life. Jesus said the scriptures speak of Him, and it is evident that they proclaim Him loud and clear. Our Lord finished up this chapter by asking them how they can believe His words when they have never truly believed the words of Moses, their favorite prophet. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the following question: I hear some of our preachers today referring to the Greek and Hebrew a lot, and I must admit, this agitates me… shouldn’t we stick with the language that we all speak here in America, and stay with our King James Version Bibles?
