In this episode of Plowing & Planting we dive back into the Christian conscience, but this time consider the conscience in community.
What does it look like to live as a church full of people with different consciences? What are the kinds of cleansed consciences that we can have? What is a weak conscience and what is a strong conscience?
We also walk through the concept of ‘theological triage’ and the levels of importance a topic, decision, or matter may have in our life, ranging from ‘die for’ to ‘divide for’ and finally ‘discuss for’.
It’s there that Pastor Adam lays out 70+ items that Christians can disagree upon. You can find a PDF of that list HERE.
David and Adam also walk through 12 principles we can take from Romans 14:1-15:7 regarding how we live in community with others even when we disagree. You can find a breakdown of those points, along with some other helpful resources, by heading HERE.
Finally, Pastor David shares a couple prayers from The Valley of Vision, which can be read and meditated on by going HERE and HERE.
