Abena was born on the beautiful island of Nevis, the sister isle of St. Kitts in the Caribbean where she grew up on a rich diet of music. She also had the good fortune of seeing music through the lens of her mother’s homeland in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Her diverse experiences have led her to a time such as now; a time to brighten the world with her voice of hope and vision of unity for women and all people. His childhood allowed him early exposure to music as his dad played the clarinet and was well immersed in music and the arts. 

Trevor embraced his gift wrote songs, played a variety of genres of music, and loved entertaining others. He eventually migrated to the US, where his love for music deepened and he spread his love for music everywhere creating his own island band which he also named ilan’ ban’. ilanban.com.
