Bomikazi has a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cape Town. She has experience working in general hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and correctional facilities. Currently, Bomikazi works as a clinical psychologist at a state hospital and also runs her own private practice where she also provides reduced rate services to people who otherwise can’t afford therapy in private practice. Bomikazi is also a Rhodes Scholar Elect for the year 2022 and will be reading towards a DPhil in Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford from October 2022. Bomikazi believes that mental health services have the power to bring about critical consciousness and emancipation. As such, she is passionate about improving the state of mental health services in South Africa and the world at large.
