Eliot Kelly
NCAA Division 1 Wrestler , World Champion in BJJ #54 (tied with Xandie Robreiro—That’s a name drop for those BJJ guys) Speaks fluent Japanese and is a lecturer teaching Japanese at Sacramento state, and is a great martial artist … I think his name should be called The Humble Beast.
Check out edhjiujitsu.com. His bio on the page says, n. He is co-owner/head trainer of El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In the fall of 2015 Eliot finished his Master’s degree in Japanese with a focus on pedagogy from San Francisco State University. For his graduate thesis project, he built a unique Japanese language learning website featuring Rakugo, the traditional art of Japanese sit-down comedy. The link to the website is rakugogaku.com
Eliot enjoys actively competing in Jiu-Jitsu, working in the vegetable garden, and spending time with family. His interests include; wrestling, coaching, Japanese language and culture, and language acquisition and pedagogy.
