New York City, commonly known as New York, is located in the southern tip of the state of New York, USA. It is the most populous megacity in the USA, the core of the New York metropolitan area, and one of the largest cities in the world. A cosmopolitan city with a significant influence on economy, commerce, media, politics, education and entertainment. NYC is also known as the "Cultural Capital of the United States", and together with London and Hong Kong, it is known as the "Nylonkong".
