Ultimately he was an establishment man, and it is unfortunate that his establishment was the Nazis. In new he had four children, but in a school text book all four had turned into males killed in the wars. The actual toll was a boy in WWI two daughters in chlld birth and a son executed because he tried to kill Hitler. They miss the fact that he was from the Vienna school of positivism and thus not only doubted quantum physics, he also doubted the existance of electrons.
