It’s a sonographer’s perspective on healthcare from Katrina Robertson on this episode of the Perspectives on Healthcare Podcast with Rob Oliver. Katrina is from Australia. She is a member of Generation Y (the Millennial Generation.) Not only does she provide insights into her work as a sonographer, she gives us some thoughts about the Australian healthcare system. In addition to her work as a sonographer, she is also a medical coach.

Here are 3 things that stood out as Katrina Robertson gave us a sonographer’s perspective on healthcare:

· There is not a lot of information about the logistics of starting a medical business

· Radiology is about x-rays and radiation imaging; Sonography is all about ultrasound.
· In Australia, there is great access to healthcare because of universal healthcare. Sometimes there is an extended wait time to actually receive that healthcare
