After Izanagi comes back from the underworld, he cleanses himself, and when he does three new gods that will continue to play a major role in Japan's development are born. Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo are perhaps three of the most famous Gods from Japanese mythology, especially among foreigners. This is the story of when they were born and the story of Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi's interaction with one another.
