Shanda recounts the long history of the ambitious cross-Florida canal project that took decades and millions of dollars to build but was ultimately abandoned until Marjorie Harris Carr fought for it to be reused as a nature greenway. Ashley tells the story of how the small amusement park of Geauga Lake grew into a destination attraction with the addition of SeaWorld Ohio through the 70s, 80s, and 90s with its height being in 2001 when it was owed by SixFlags; but it was unable to maintain its success after being bought by Cedar Fair in 2004.
