The law does not specify that an age gap will lead to a partner visa refusal, however, it can be part of the overall assessment of the genuineness of a relationship.

Age gaps can play a role in the level of scrutiny in a Partner visa application.

An age gap in a relationship can present an 'elephant in the room' which should be addressed head-on in a couple's relationship statements.

If applicable to your facts, ensure your friends and family comment on your age gap in their supporting statements.

It is a misconception that family overseas cannot complete Form 888s.

It is important that you normalize any age gap in your Partner visa application. Address it, explain it, give it context and show the DHA your love is ageless!

Younger male applicants from high-risk countries of passports are, in my humble opinion, more likely to face scrutiny surrounding any age gap.
