Within the Fantasy genre there are many tried and true tropes, such as slaying dragons, rescuing princesses, fighting dark lords, brave warriors, mysterious wizards, etc. Name of the Wind is a novel that seeks to bring some of these tropes into a story that feels more grounded and mundane than the typical epic fantastical journey.
